Newburn is a single urban parish, on the River Tyne to the west of Newcastle city centre.  

The congregation is committed to living out their faith and sharing the Gospel and you will be supported by a strong team of dedicated lay leaders and committed PCC members. Whilst there are two worship centres there is a strong commitment to being one Parish.

We are seeking a full-time stipendiary priest who:

• Has a heart for mission and is able to communicate the gospel in imaginative ways
• Recognises and encourages callings and gifts in others and supports others in their own leadership development
• Can meet people where they are and encourage them to grow in faith and discipleship
• Enjoys being involved with all areas of parish life and is willing to take an active role in church activities and events
• Has a passion for youth work and developing our links with local schools and young people
• Can build links between the church and new estates
• Is inclusive and who embraces the LGBTQIA+ conversations within the Church of England.
