Leading Evangelism

Learning Hub

When faith sharing is part of everyday church life

If you long to see evangelism and faith-sharing embedded in the life of your church and congregations rather than treated as an add-on for specialists, the Leading Evangelism Learning Hub offers leaders an accessible culture-change process that has been having a big impact.

The programme helps churches and leaders enable ordinary Christians to find their natural place in the showing and sharing of their faith. It draws on evangelism practices, a tried and tested change process, biblical teaching, and a shared commitment to long-term cultural renewal.

Programme launch 2027
The next Leading Evangelism Learning Hub begins in 2027, you can register your interest by emailing: leadership@cpas.org.uk

Through the programme you will:

Embed evangelism practices

Heard of ‘Pray for 5’? This is an example of what we mean ‘evangelism practice’. These practices can help to change behaviour, which over time changes the culture of a church.

Create new pathways to faith in Jesus

By mapping your contacts in the community and assessing how your church is ordered, the programme enables churches to create new entry points for people to begin a relationship with Jesus.

Reflect evangelism as a priority in your budget

The programme enables leaders to create an action plan that orders the life of the church, including budgets, around this priority of faith-sharing.

See a renewed passion for faith-sharing

Each time we run the Leading Evangelism Learning Hub we see a renewed passion for evangelism amongst the programme core teams, but also across their church communities.

Mobilise Christians of all ages and stages

Using a short survey the programme enables you to assess what the key barriers are in your churches when it comes to evangelism. From this helpful starting point we provide tools to begin to remove those blockages.

Discover four themed areas

The programme is structured around four themes: ‘connect’, ‘model’, ‘order’, and ‘mobilise’. Through this 14-month process, these four themes will give you a framework from which to create action plans, reflect, pray, lead and more.

This programme is for:

Church Leaders

Anyone in church leadership and any tradition looking to develop the ministry of evangelism in their churches and congregations

Leaders creating teams

Church leaders who can bring together 2-5 other people who can help lead change

Developing faith sharing

Those who have tried courses, run events, but still find their people are not growing in personal or corporate effectiveness in faith sharing

Leaders committed to change

Those who can commit to a change process over time

Leaders maximising opportunity

Churches who want to make the most of opportunities created by the quiet revival.

All sessions will take place online via Zoom. A joining link will be sent to you before the session.

We know a whole day on Zoom doesn’t sound great, but we have worked hard on how to engage people well on Zoom throughout a day and are confident you will find it a positive experience.

This programme is structured around eight sessions over 14 months looking at the themes:

  • Connect Evangelism involves connecting with God and what he is doing, connecting with the vocation of the Church, connecting with people and where they are at, and connecting the gospel to contemporary culture.

  • Model We can ’t ask others to do what we are not doing ourselves, so we explore our own faith sharing, and particularly look at the responsibilities of those in leadership when it comes to evangelism.

  • Order Church leadership is about ordering a community around the person of Jesus and the priorities of his kingdom. We ’ll explore how to shape an evangelistic culture and discern an appropriate way forward for the ministry of evangelism in your context.

  • Mobilise Evangelism is a body ministry in which everyone has a part to play and we need everyone to play their part. Those in leadership enable this to happen by equipping people to share their faith in their everyday lives, and identifying, equipping and releasing evangelists and pioneers.

Signing up for the Leading Evangelism Learning Hub indicates commitment to:

  • Gathering a small team (clergy plus 2 -5 others)
  • Meeting as a hub online once a term (Saturdays, 9.45am - 4pm).
  • Meeting as a hub online one evening per term (7.30 - 9.30pm).
  • Meeting as your core group roughly once every six weeks in between.
  • Being willing to learn and apply that learning in your own context
  • Attending all eight sessions and fourteen months in their entirety.

£390

We encourage church leaders to bring together a core team of 2-5 other leaders with whom they can share the journey and change process. Any larger and the core team risks becoming disengaged.

We normally expect about 10-12 churches on the Leading Evangelism Learning Hub which equates to about 50-60 people.
